Admist all this hullabaloo, I forgot to mention a very important event. Benji has finally kick the bucket, gone to meet his maker, pushed up the daisies.
Now before you start offering me condolences, let me just mention that benji is a bird. my cousin's pet mynah to be exact.

Let me just tell you about this miraculous bird.

It came into the family about 12 years ago. It wasnt a baby. it probably had a good 2-3 years on it already. but it just flew into the house one day and wouldnt go away. so it became the pet. and in those 12 years we noticed some interesting traits:

1. it pecks at everyone violently like some crazed animal, except my cousin.
2. it enjoys siting next to the mirror looking at itself
3. its is a bird. it does not like to fly.
4. 2-3 years ago, it started loosing feathers, looking really old ( we were thinking, that's it, it has come to its end), then like magic, it all grew back, and he looked younger than before. It's like he found the fountain of youth.
5. in total it has lived at least by our calculations 14-15 yrs. (MYNAH'S DONT LIVE THAT LONG, most live up to 9 at their best)

Its out lived its owner and any of the other pets that came into the house. but when you gotta go you gotta go. So now here lies Benji Kukumynah. burried with love in a flower pot. (1996-2008)
R.I.P benji. you were one hell of a bird. have fun in birdie heaven.

now on another note. in an attempt to find myself a distraction. i've been deliberately trying to tick off innocent passer-bys, till they get extremely annoyed with me and i get to have something else to think aboout besides whatever it is that happening.

I'm fighting fire with fire.

of course its not working right.( well duh sab, i could have told you that).
Someone ring woodbridge this woman's 2 cans short of a six pack.

a flaw in someone's else story.

I've found the root cause of my strange illness.
It was all in my head.

Something was upsetting me. still is.
I get that way sometimes. I bring new meaning to the phrase 'its all in your head'. If its possible to die of dissappointment or a broken heart. i'm sure i could.
There is a stubborn stain in the fabric of my picture perfect scenery, missing piece of the puzzle, a flaw in the story.

But the thing is, it isnt even my story. It isnt even afffecting me directly at all. Its the story of people close to me, people I care for. And my moods are greatly affected by the moods of those people. And that's the worst kind. because its not your problem to fix. there's nothing you can do.

Statistically speaking

Year's coming to an end.
don't really know what exactly to make of that.
My expectations have greatly decreased over the years.
As long as everyone makes it out of the year in one piece/alive I'm more or less content.
The year ending means that I'm getting older too damn.Statistically speaking, I've more or less hit the peak of my existence so i guess its all down hill from here.

I had such a strange illness.

All of a sudden, it got so cold, every muscle and bone in my body hurt and a fever so high that I swear i could feel my brain boiling in its juices.

And then nothing. I felt perfectly fine.

And it started all over again. i slept in a jacket, two blankets and my labcoat. OOhhh the horror.

And then nothing again.

he does nothing.the boy does nothing.

Much ado about everything
Wednesday, December 10, 2008

Since the last post, I've been busy busy busy with the biggest event in the family for years. Wedding!!!

Normal people would just have one, but since we are not normal people, we had TWO.

Saturday Nov, 29th:

Time to meet the inlaws (groom's side). from punjab and indonesia you see. ok la, a bit akward. communication barier you see.

Monday morning, Dec 1st: Sikh ceremony.

First major event.

PhotobucketPhotobucket

poor groom had to grow a breard. very itchy. complaining the entire time.

Then the entire wedding procession proceded to Go-India in vivo city. Yes, dressed like that. supposed to have a bay view. but guess what!!!? a huge ship came to park right infront of the restaurant!... a very annoyed bride marched right over to the ship, in all her finery no less, and tried to demand them to move the ship but to no avail.

Later we found out that the ship was actually super old, and the las tof its kind because it was made just 2 years after the Titanic. So quite cool la actually.

2nd december, night, : Reception, Thank You dinner.

At holiday-In.

by this time we were all just so exhausted. the bloody decorations in the house kept falling off and I kept having to climb up and down to stick them back. By the 100th time it fell off i just turned to the groom and said, : " this, this, is all you fault." And he said" " yes, i know, believe me i know. enough weddings. this is terrible." Then we just left it and went to sleep.

8th december, night: Finally, the hindu temple wedding.

K uh, fun la. I was the bride's maid. coz the groom's family were'nt available, all balik kampong already. Good coz I dont have any brothers, so it would be my first and last time. Abit stressful though cause i didnt understand what in the world the aiyer(priest) was saying. And the bride was translating for me the entire way. she was very amused by the fact that i was so lost. the woman was laughing away. kuku.

then all headded to the brides house, then the groom's house. got a couple of ceremony's to do. by that time its like midnight already. tired!

but we still had to dismantle the bride, remove the thousands of pins and jewelry from the hair. took about 1/2 hour. goodness.

PhotobucketPhotobucket

(the groom could'nt tahan. kuku went to sleep first while we dismantled her )

then the lack of sleep got to me. coz i decided to put on all her jewerly. tsk tsk tsk. very heavy la. when i put the earrings on, you cannot see my ears anymore. poor thing la all these indian brides. no ownder they always looking down, they cant look up, too heavy.

kuku

then we counted ang paos. got tired. stopped halfway, went to sleep. Obviously i didnt go to school the next day. there goes another neurobio lesson.

9th december: rest day.

all woke up, like in the middle of the day. continued couting ang paos. then altogether, we went to eat tepanyaki. We were the oddest looking bunch. soooo chapalang, so unglam, but to hell with it!!! enough dressing up. it was whatever we went to sleep in, humoungous t-shirts, no make up, baggy pants and heels. then the bride had her wedding bangles on summore.. she looked like some circus clown.

All done!!! phew.

Fun la, but too tiring.

dont get married la ppl. so leceh. or if cannot tahan just go ROM and sign. tsk tsk.
